COVID - 19 Update - Test Centres 19/05/2020

Following Sunday’s Government announcement CITB is re-establishing the Health, Safety and Environment testing operations in England.  All Pearson Professional Centres in England will be operational from Monday 18th May. Information and updates on test delivery can be found here (under HS&E Test section).

COVID - 19 Important Update

We are aware that testing centres are currently closed due to Covid-19.  If you don’t have a valid HS&E test in date and are having challenges visiting site please get in touch via enquiries@homebuildskillscard.co.uk
For the latest updates from CITB follow this link
We ask employers and those responsible for site access and card checking procedures to use their discretion towards workers whose cards have expired and who can provide evidence that they have been unable to sit their test.  This is at the employer’s discretion until the situation has stabilised.

Welcome to the HBSP Card Application Website
The Home Builders Visitor Card is the first in a phased approach to provide the Home Building Sector with a competency scheme that is specific to not just the Home Builders but also their supply chain.

Most Home Builders require workers on their sites to hold a valid CSCS card as a means to certify their qualifications and training. It is important that you hold the right CSCS card for the type of work you undertake. If you do not have a card, or hold the wrong card, access to Home Building sites may be denied. With the removal of the CSCS visitor card starting in February 2020 the Virtual Home Builders Visitor Card will allow visitors to apply using the requirements previously required by CSCS and provide access to site for visitors who do not hold or require a formal qualified skills card.

The Virtual Home Builders Visitors Card will provide a means to verify that people who visit Home Building sites have the basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety on site by passing the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test, a requirement already common with the CSCS visitor card.
By using smart technology built into the Card and with an inexpensive card reader or download to smartphones or tablet devices, cards can be checked and data recorded within seconds.
